ACHE is the primary professional society for healthcare leaders in the United States. Individuals dedicated to improving the future of the healthcare industry can establish themselves as a leader through the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) program. The program is available to ACHE members who have earned a master’s degree or comparable post-baccalaureate degree and logged at least five years of healthcare management experience. Healthcare leaders must be actively employed in an executive position when they fill out their FACHE application. Before becoming a FACHE fellow, healthcare leaders must pass the Board of Governors Exam. ACHE provides several options for exam preparation, including in-person learning and self-directed study. The exam comprises 200 questions in multiple areas, including finance, human resources, and management and leadership.
