Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center to Join CHRISTUS Health System

​Based in Dallas, Texas, Paul Generale has driven operations as the executive vice president and chief strategy and network officer at CHRISTUS Health since 2016. He previously served the company as senior vice president of financial operations and ambulatory services. Paul Generale has facilitated several new ventures and acquisitions with the company.

According to the May 2023 Becker’s Hospital Review, Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo, New Mexico, has declared intent to join the CHRISTUS Health System. Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, a 98-bed facility needing capital improvements and clinical expansion, will rely on CHRISTUS Health in several areas, including improved employee retention and recruiting initiatives.

The signing will fall under the new CHRISTUS Impact Workforce Commitment. Becker’s Hospital Review, Fierce Healthcare, and Healthcare Finance have identified CHRISTUS as one of nearly 20 national health systems to follow the pledge to ensure that at least 10 percent of all new hires come from communities that are economically disadvantaged.
