Christus Health Completes Acquisition of CardiaStream

​Paul Generale, an experienced healthcare executive, earned his MBA at the University of Houston at Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. He is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association. Since 2016, Paul Generale has served as executive vice president and Christus Health's Dallas office's chief strategy and network officer.

Christus Health is a nonprofit health system with over 60 hospitals, post-acute care facilities, 175 clinics, and ambulatory centers. The entire health system employs over 2,500 physicians and 45,000 healthcare associates.

On April 4, the Dallas Business Journal reported that Christus Health has completed its acquisition of CardiaStream. Also known as Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas, CardiaStream will consolidate with Christus Health Trinity Clinic Cardiology in Tyler and create the Christus Heart and Vascular Institute.

The acquisition adds CardiaStream's 14 locations to the Christus Health system. Fourteen of CardiaStream's clinicians and specialists will also join the Christus family. The Christus Heart and Vascular Institute combines over 250 years of practice-based cardiac care and will be the largest cardiology facility in East Texas.
